The Bay City Commission on Wednesday got the votes it couldn't get on Monday to apply for federal grant money to upgrade city electrical systems. The six city commissioners present at Wednesday's meeting voted to join the Michigan Integrated Technology Transfer and Energy Network Smart Grid Grant Project (MITTEN Project), which is seeking $15 million in federal grant money.
